The Pelvic Floor & Perimenopause

Your pelvic floor changes with your hormones, but leaking, pain, discomfort, and changes in sexual health aren’t something you simply have to accept as you age.

Floor Fabulous Pelvic PT

Title:

In this session, you will gain a deeper understanding of the pelvic floor and its relationship with hormones, movement, core function, and whole-body wellness. You will learn how changes in estrogen levels can contribute to symptoms associated with Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM), the role of vaginal estrogen, and why symptoms such as urinary leakage, pelvic discomfort, pain, or changes in sexual health should not simply be dismissed as a normal part of aging.

You will also discover common signs of pelvic floor dysfunction, including symptoms that may appear during or after exercise, and learn when modifications or professional support may be beneficial. This session will provide practical knowledge to help you recognize contributing factors such as core weakness after pregnancy, scar tissue, low back pain, and sciatica, empowering you to make informed decisions about your pelvic health and maintain strength, function, and confidence throughout midlife and beyond.
