Credentials:
Certified Trichologist
With more than 25 years as a licensed hairstylist, Stephanie Hutchison has dedicated her career to helping women look and feel their best. After seeing countless clients struggle with thinning hair and scalp concerns, she realized that simply styling hair wasn't enough—she wanted to help women understand why they were losing their hair and provide real, lasting solutions.
Today, Stephanie is a Certified Trichologist specializing in women's hair loss and scalp health. She combines advanced scalp analysis, evidence-based treatment protocols, and a personalized approach that looks beyond the hair itself. By evaluating factors such as hormones, nutrition, stress, medical history, and scalp health, she creates customized treatment plans designed to support healthier hair growth and long-term scalp wellness.
Stephanie is passionate about educating and empowering women, especially those experiencing menopause-related hair loss, so they can regain not only healthier hair but also their confidence. Her mission is to combine the artistry of hairstyling with the science of scalp and hair health, providing evidence-based care in a welcoming, supportive environment where women feel heard, supported, and confident throughout their hair restoration journey.
Why are you passionate about helping women through perimenopause and menopause?
I am passionate about helping women through perimenopause and menopause because I know that hair loss during this stage of life is about so much more than hair. It can affect confidence, self-image, and the way a woman feels every time she looks in the mirror. After spending more than 25 years behind the chair, I've had countless conversations with women who felt frustrated, embarrassed, or dismissed when they brought up their concerns.
I wanted to do more than offer a new hairstyle to camouflage thinning hair—I wanted to help women understand what was happening, why it was happening, and what they could do about it. Becoming a trichologist has allowed me to combine my years of hairstyling experience with science-based scalp and hair loss care so I can guide women with education, support, and personalized solutions.
My goal is for every woman to leave my suite feeling heard, empowered, and hopeful, knowing she has a partner who understands the challenges of this stage of life and is committed to helping her restore not only healthier hair, but also her confidence.
Who is the ideal woman you serve?
My ideal client is a woman in her 40s, 50s, or 60s who is experiencing hair thinning or hair loss related to perimenopause, menopause, hormonal changes, or scalp health concerns. She has likely tried shampoos, supplements, or online remedies with little success and is looking for real answers—not just another product.
She values education and wants to understand the root cause of her hair loss. She's committed to investing in her health and is looking for a trusted professional who will listen, create a personalized plan, and support her throughout her hair restoration journey.
More than anything, she's ready to stop feeling frustrated and self-conscious about her hair and start feeling confident, empowered, and like herself again.
What concerns do women most commonly come to you for?
General hair loss, Hormonal hair loss, Scalp conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, etc., Build up on scalp
What makes your approach unique?
My approach is different because I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Every woman has a unique story, and every case of hair loss has its own contributing factors. I take the time to understand the whole picture by evaluating scalp health, lifestyle, nutrition, stress, hormones, medical history, and other factors that may be impacting hair growth.
With more than 25 years behind the chair, I understand not only the science of hair and scalp health but also the emotional impact that hair loss can have on a woman's confidence. My goal is to provide a welcoming space where women feel heard, understood, and supported—not rushed or dismissed.
Rather than simply recommending products, I create personalized treatment plans using advanced scalp analysis, evidence-based therapies, and ongoing education so my clients understand what is happening, why it is happening, and what they can realistically expect throughout their hair restoration journey.
I believe that when women are given knowledge, compassionate support, and a plan tailored to their individual needs, they can make informed decisions and regain confidence in both their hair and themselves.
What is one thing you wish every woman knew about perimenopause or menopause?
If there's one thing I wish every woman knew about menopause and hair loss, it's that you are not alone, and you are not powerless.
Hair thinning during perimenopause and menopause is incredibly common, yet so many women feel embarrassed, ashamed, or believe they simply have to accept it as a normal part of aging. While hormonal changes do play a significant role, they are often only one piece of the puzzle. Factors such as scalp health, nutrition, stress, inflammation, medications, and overall wellness can all influence hair growth.
The earlier you seek answers, the more options you may have to slow progression and support healthier hair. You don't have to navigate this journey on your own, and you don't have to settle for feeling dismissed. There are evidence-based strategies that can help, and understanding the root causes is the first step toward making meaningful progress.
Most importantly, your hair does not define your beauty or your worth. My goal is to help you restore not only healthier hair, but also the confidence that comes from understanding what's happening and knowing you have a plan.
What should someone expect when working with you?
When you work with me, you can expect more than a treatment—you can expect a partnership. My goal is to help you understand your hair loss, identify the factors contributing to it, and create a personalized plan designed specifically for your needs.
From your first appointment, you'll be welcomed into a supportive, judgment-free environment where your concerns are heard and your questions are encouraged. Together, we'll take an in-depth look at your scalp health, medical history, lifestyle, nutrition, stress, hormones, and other factors that may be affecting your hair growth.
I believe education is one of the most powerful tools in the hair restoration journey. I'll explain what I'm seeing, why it's happening, and what your treatment options are so you feel informed and confident every step of the way.
Hair restoration is a process, not a quick fix. I'll be honest about what to expect, celebrate your progress along the way, and adjust your treatment plan as needed to help you achieve the best possible results. My commitment is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care and ongoing support so you never feel like you're navigating your hair loss alone.
My hope is that you'll leave each appointment feeling more hopeful, empowered, and confident—not just because of the progress you're making, but because you finally have someone in your corner who understands your journey.
