Why are you passionate about helping women through perimenopause and menopause?
I’m passionate about this work because I’ve seen far too many women struggle with symptoms that affect every part of their lives, yet they’re often told to just live with it or that it’s simply part of getting older.
After more than 30 years as an OB-GYN, I know how powerful it can be when a woman finally understands what is happening in her body and realizes she has options. Midlife can bring real challenges, but it can also be an incredibly empowering time.
I love helping women feel heard, informed, and confident again so they can move through this transition feeling more like themselves.
Who is the ideal woman you serve?
The woman I serve is typically over 40,but may be middle-late 30's. She is busy, capable, and used to handling a lot, but suddenly she doesn’t feel like herself anymore.
She may be struggling with brain fog, poor sleep, fatigue, hot flashes, weight changes, mood shifts, low libido, or changes in sexual health. Often she is juggling work, family, relationships, and everyone else’s needs while quietly wondering, “What is happening to me?”
She wants someone who will really listen and help her understand her options. I love helping her get answers, feel better in her body, and regain the energy and confidence she may have thought she had lost.
What concerns do women most commonly come to you for?
The most common thing I hear is, “I just don’t feel like myself anymore.” Women come to me for brain fog, fatigue, disrupted sleep, hot flashes and night sweats, weight changes, mood swings or anxiety, low libido, vaginal dryness, and other changes in sexual health.
Many aren’t even sure whether what they’re experiencing is hormonal, stress-related, aging, or a combination of all three. They’re looking for someone who will listen, connect the dots, and explain their options clearly.
That’s where I come in. I look at the whole woman and help create a plan that fits her individual health, symptoms, goals, and lifestyle.
What makes your approach unique?
What makes my approach different is the combination of more than 30 years of experience as an OB-GYN, a very personalized style of care, and the convenience of telemedicine.
Women are busy, and I love being able to meet them where they are. Through telemedicine, we can have meaningful, in-depth conversations without them having to take half a day off work, drive across town, or sit in a waiting room.
I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. I look at her symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, goals, and concerns, and then we discuss the options that make sense for her. That may include hormone therapy, nutrition, lifestyle changes, metabolic support, sexual health, or other evidence-based approaches.
Most importantly, I want women to feel heard. My goal is to help them understand what is happening in their bodies and give them the information and support they need to feel like themselves again.
What is one thing you wish every woman knew about perimenopause or menopause?
I wish every woman knew that she does not have to quietly accept feeling exhausted, foggy, anxious, uncomfortable, or unlike herself because someone told her, “That’s just menopause.”
Perimenopause and menopause can affect so much more than periods and hot flashes. They can affect sleep, mood, memory, metabolism, libido, vaginal health, energy, and overall quality of life.
And most importantly, women have options.
I want women to know that this stage of life is not the end of feeling vibrant, confident, or strong. With the right information and individualized care, it can actually become the beginning of a really powerful new chapter.
What should someone expect when working with you?
When someone works with me, they can expect to feel heard, supported, and never rushed through a one-size-fits-all plan.
I start by really listening to what has been changing, what is affecting her quality of life, and what she wants to feel better about. We look at the whole picture together, including symptoms, health history, lifestyle, goals, and concerns.
Because I work through telemedicine, care is also designed to be convenient and accessible for busy women. My goal is to make the process feel personal, thoughtful, and easy to navigate.
I want every woman I work with to leave feeling more informed, more confident about her options, and reassured that she has a partner in her care. We make decisions together and adjust the plan as needed so it truly fits her life and her health.
What is the best first step for someone who wants to connect with you?
The best first step is to visit my website at AmazingOver40.com and get to know me a little.
I encourage women to read about my background and experience, explore my blogs, and watch some of my webinars so they can get a feel for my approach to perimenopause and menopause care.
If what I share resonates with them and it feels like a good fit, they can then schedule a new patient appointment through my telemedicine practice.
I think that first connection matters. I want women to feel comfortable with who I am, how I practice, and the way I approach care before we ever meet.
